The Homestead Spartans lacrosse squad scored 17 points and limited the host Avon Orioles to 1 in the Spartans non-league triumph on Friday.

The Spartans now own a 9-4 record. They take the field next when they travel to North Central for a non-league challenge on Saturday, May 3. Homestead will clash with a Panthers squad coming off a 18-3 non-league win over Avon (Avon, IN). The Panthers record now stands at 6-5.

With the loss, Avon falls to 1-7 on the year. The Orioles travel to Fishers (Fishers, IN) to clash with the Tigers in a Freelance challenge on Thursday, May 8. The Tigers go into the challenge with a record of 2-9. Fishers lost 6-3 in their recent non-league challenge against Fort Wayne Bishop Dwenger (Fort Wayne, IN)
