In Friday's non-league challenge, the host Jonathan Alder Pioneers lacrosse squad scored a tight 10-5 triumph over the Marysville Monarchs.

The Pioneers (10-4) will now prepare for their challenge against Johnstown-Monroe (Johnstown, OH). The Johnnies go into the Region 7 challenge with a 6-6 record. In their last challenge, Johnstown-Monroe was overwhelmed by Granville (Granville, OH), 12-3, in a league challenge.

Next, the Monarchs clash with the Licking Valley Panthers (Newark, OH) in a non-league challenge, on Saturday, May 3. Marysville will attempt to better on its 7-7 season record. The Panthers go into the challenge with a 1-10 record after their 15-2 non-league loss to Westerville Central (Westerville, OH).
