In Friday's non-league test, the Shaker Bison (Latham, NY) softball squad overwhelmed the visiting Catholic Central Crusaders (Troy, NY), by a tally of 14-6.

Next, the Bison clash with the Shenendehowa Plainsmen (Clifton Park, NY) in a Section 2 Suburban - Blue test, on Tuesday, May 6. Shaker will attempt to advance on its 8-6 season record. The Plainsmen go into the test with a 11-2 record after their 8-6 league loss to Guilderland (Guilderland Center, NY).

The Crusaders (5-3) will now prepare for their test against Mohonasen (Schenectady, NY). The Warriors go into the Section 2 Colonial test with a 2-9 record. In their last test, Mohonasen prevailed over Ravena-Coeymans-Selkirk (Ravena, NY), 5-4, in a league test.
