The Catholic of Pointe Coupee Hornets softball squad (New Roads, LA), was edged 4-3 in Friday's non-league contest with the visiting Holy Savior Menard Eagles (Alexandria, LA)
With the triumph, Holy Savior Menard improves its record to 21-12 on the year. The Eagles travel to Opelousas Catholic (Opelousas, LA) to face the Vikings in a non-league contest on Saturday, May 3. The Vikings enter the contest with a record of 24-10. Opelousas Catholic won 1-0 in their recent non-league contest against St. John (Plaquemine, LA)
The Hornets now hold a 26-12 record.
