The Cohoes Tigers triumphed over the host La Salle Institute Cadets softball squad by a count of 6-1 in Friday's league challenge.
Next, the Tigers meet the Academy of the Holy Names (Albany, NY) in a Section 2 Colonial challenge, on Tuesday, May 6. Cohoes will attempt to upgrade on its 6-5 season record.
The Cadets (0-8) will now prepare for their challenge against Ichabod Crane (Valatie, NY). The Riders enter the Section 2 Colonial challenge with a 8-3 record. In their last challenge, Ichabod Crane edged Schalmont (Schenectady, NY), 7-4, in a league challenge.
