New York High School Softball - Owego Free Academy Elmira

The Elmira Express overwhelmed the visiting Owego Free Academy River Hawks softball squad by a count of 12-6 in Friday's non-league challenge.

Next, the Express meet the Corning-Painted Post Hawks (Corning, NY) in a Section 4 Southern Tier - West challenge, on Monday, May 5. Elmira will attempt to upgrade on its 5-5 season record. The Hawks go into the challenge with a 10-2 record after their 15-2 league win over Union-Endicott (Endicott, NY).

The River Hawks (9-2) will now prepare for their challenge against Waverly (Waverly, NY). The Wolverines go into the Section 4 Southern Tier - East challenge with a 3-4 record. In their last challenge, Waverly was routed by Chenango Valley (Binghamton, NY), 9-6, in a league challenge.
