In Friday's non-league match, the host Manheim Central Barons softball team scored a tight 8-3 win over the Ephrata Mountaineers.

The Barons (8-9) will now prepare for their match against Donegal (Mt. Joy, PA). The Indians come into the Lancaster-Lebanon Section 3 match with a 11-4 record. In their last match, Donegal nipped East Pennsboro (Enola, PA), 9-5, in a non-league match.

In their next game, the Mountaineers battle the Lampeter-Strasburg Pioneers (Lampeter, PA) in a Lancaster-Lebanon Section 2 match, on Monday, May 5. Ephrata will attempt to better on its 7-12 season record. The Pioneers come into the match with a 15-4 record after their 4-0 non-league win over Manheim Township (Lancaster, PA).
