In Friday's league test, the Freeport Falcons (Freeport, ME) softball squad overwhelmed the visiting Gray-New Gloucester Patriots (Gray, ME), by a count of 13-3.
Next, the Falcons meet the Gardiner Tigers (Gardiner, ME) in a Class B South test, on Saturday, May 3. Freeport will attempt to upgrade on its 2-0 season record. The Tigers go into the test with a 1-1 record after their 10-0 league loss to Leavitt (Turner, ME).
The Patriots (4-6) will now prepare for their test against Leavitt (Turner, ME). The Hornets go into the Class B South test with a 4-0 record. In their last test, Leavitt toppled Erskine Academy (South China, ME), 11-7, in a league test.
