The Tyrone Golden Eagles triumphed over the visiting Greater Johnstown Trojans softball squad by a count of 13-0 in Friday's non-league challenge.

Next, the Golden Eagles play the Central Dragons (Martinsburg, PA) in a Laurel Highlands 1 challenge, on Saturday, May 3. Tyrone will attempt to upgrade on its 7-4 season record. The Dragons enter the challenge with a 4-9 record after their 19-3 league loss to Forest Hills (Sidman, PA).

The Trojans (0-11) will now prepare for their challenge against Clearfield (Clearfield, PA). The Bison enter the Laurel Highlands 1 challenge with a 6-8 record. In their last challenge, Clearfield overcame Bishop Carroll (Ebensburg, PA), 16-0, in a league challenge.
