In Friday's non-league test, the Superior Spartans (Superior, WI) softball squad overwhelmed the visiting Menomonie Mustangs (Menomonie, WI), by a tally of 9-3.

Next, the Spartans clash with the Rice Lake Warriors (Rice Lake, WI) in a non-league test, on Saturday, May 3. Superior will attempt to advance on its 8-4 season record. The Warriors go into the test with a 7-9 record after their 5-2 league loss to Chippewa Falls (Chippewa Falls, WI).

The Mustangs (11-6) will now prepare for their test against Eau Claire North (Eau Claire, WI). The Huskies go into the Big Rivers test with a 6-10 record. In their last test, Eau Claire North was routed by Grantsburg (Grantsburg, WI), 3-2, in a non-league test.
