The Napoleon Pirates softball team scored 16 runs and held the visiting Vandercook Lake Jayhawks to 1 in the Pirates league win on Friday.

The Pirates now sport a 5-7 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Hillsdale for a non-league battle on Monday, May 5. Napoleon will encounter a Hornets team coming off a 15-0 non-league loss to Marshall (Marshall, MI). The Hornets record now stands at 1-7.

With the loss, Vandercook Lake moves to 1-7 on the season. The Jayhawks host Michigan Center (Michigan Center, MI) to encounter the Cardinals in a Cascades battle on Monday, May 5. The Cardinals come into the battle with a record of 4-4. Michigan Center won 14-0 in their recent league battle against Addison (Addison, MI)
