Indiana High School Softball - Cascade tipped by McCutcheon

May 2, 2026: Lafayette, IN 47909

McCutcheon Mavericks (Lafayette, IN) supporters left the game thrilled Saturday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Cascade Cadets (Clayton, IN), 13-11 in a non-league game.

With the triumph, McCutcheon improves its record to 8-6 on the year. The Mavericks host Tri-West Hendricks (Lizton, IN) to face the Bruins in a non-league game on Monday, May 4. The Bruins enter the game with a record of 14-5. Tri-West Hendricks lost 4-1 in their recent non-league game against Carmel (Carmel, IN)

The Cadets now hold a 13-1 record. They play next when they travel to Franklin Community for a non-league game on Saturday, May 2. Cascade will face a Grizzly Cubs squad coming off a 11-0 league win over Mooresville (Mooresville, IN). The Grizzly Cubs record now stands at 11-4.
