The Fremd Vikings edged the visiting IC Catholic Prep Knights softball squad by a count of 1-0 in Saturday's non-league challenge.
Next, the Vikings meet the Minooka Indians (Minooka, IL) in a non-league challenge, on Saturday, May 2. Fremd will attempt to upgrade on its 11-6 season record. The Indians enter the challenge with a 13-7 record after their 15-0 league win over Romeoville (Romeoville, IL).
The Knights (18-4) will now prepare for their challenge against Cary-Grove (Cary, IL). The Trojans enter the non-league challenge with a 5-13 record. In their last challenge, Cary-Grove edged Downers Grove North (Downers Grove, IL), 14-0, in a non-league match.
