The crowd at Thursday's non-league match between the Andrean Fighting 59ers (Merrillville, IN) and the host Washington Township Senators (Valparaiso, IN), saw Andrean's softball squad achieve victory over Washington Township by a count of 11-1.

The Fighting 59ers now sport a 14-11 record. They take the field next when they host South Central for a non-league match on Friday, May 21. Andrean will face a Satellites squad coming off a 12-0 non-league win over Knox (Knox, IN). The Satellites record now stands at 20-4.

With the loss, Washington Township falls to 12-8 on the campaign. The Senators travel to Lake Station Edison (Lake Station, IN) to face the Fighting Eagles in a non-league match on Saturday, May 22. The Fighting Eagles enter the match with a record of 2-17. Lake Station Edison lost 16-0 in their recent non-league match against Hobart (Hobart, IN)
