Prairie Heights Panthers (LaGrange, IN) backers exited the stadium thrilled Friday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Garrett Railroaders (Garrett, IN), 8-1 in a league challenge.

The Panthers now own a 8-9 record. They take the field next when they travel to Central Noble for a non-league challenge on Tuesday, May 24. Prairie Heights will battle a Cougars squad coming off a 7-1 league loss to Churubusco (Churubusco, IN). The Cougars record now stands at 10-13.

With the loss, Garrett falls to 6-13 on the campaign. The Railroaders host Angola (Angola, IN) to battle the Hornets in a non-league challenge on Tuesday, May 24. The Hornets enter the challenge with a record of 11-10. Angola won 1-0 in their recent non-league challenge against New Haven (New Haven, IN)
