Michigan High School Softball - Chippewa Valley edged by Marine City

In Saturday's non-league outing, the visiting Marine City Mariners softball team scored a close 8-7 win over the Chippewa Valley Big Reds.

Coming up next, the Mariners battle the Fraser Ramblers (Fraser, MI) in a non-league outing, on Monday, May 22. Marine City will attempt to upgrade on its 5-2 season record. The Ramblers enter the outing with a 14-2 record after their 4-2 non-league loss to Sterling Heights Stevenson (Sterling Heights, MI).

The Big Reds (7-13) will now prepare for their outing against Grosse Pointe North (Grosse Pointe, MI). The Norsemen enter the Macomb Area - Red outing with a 9-5 record. In their last outing, Grosse Pointe North was tipped by Almont (Almont, MI), 8-1, in a non-league outing.
