Verona Wildcats (Verona, WI) fans were pleased Monday as they observed their soccer team triumph over the visiting Madison East Purgolders (Madison, WI), 6-0 in a league challenge.

Next, the Wildcats confront the Janesville Craig Cougars (Janesville, WI) in a Big Eight challenge, on Thursday, May 23. Verona will attempt to better on its 9-6 season record. The Cougars enter the challenge with a 3-7 record after their 6-1 non-league loss to Kenosha Tremper (Kenosha, WI).

The Purgolders now have a 2-8 record. They take the field next when they travel to Madison La Follette for a Big Eight test on Wednesday, May 22.
