With the triumph, Pocahontas moves its record to 1-0 on the year. The Indians travel to St. Edmond (Fort Dodge, IA) to play the Gaels in a non-league game on Thursday, May 23. The Gaels come into the game with a record of 0-0.

In their next game, the Bulldogs play the Newman Catholic Knights (Mason City, IA) in a non-league game, on Tuesday, May 21. Algona will attempt to move on its 0-1 season record. The Knights come into the game with a 1-0 record after their 11-1 non-league win over Osage (Osage, IA).
