In Monday's league contest, the Apponequet Regional Lakers (Lakeville, MA) softball team held off the host Bourne Canalmen (Bourne, MA), by a margin of 4-3.
With the triumph, Apponequet Regional moves its record to 14-4 on the year. The Lakers host Fairhaven (Fairhaven, MA) to play the Blue Devils in a South Coast contest on Tuesday, May 21. The Blue Devils come into the contest with a record of 2-10.
In their next game, the Canalmen play the Old Colony RVT Cougars (Rochester, MA) in a non-league contest, on Thursday, May 23. Bourne will attempt to move on its 5-8 season record. The Cougars come into the contest with a 7-10 record after their 18-3 league loss to South Shore Vo-Tech (Hanover, MA).
