With the triumph, Newtown advances its record to 10-8 on the season. The Nighthawks travel to Bethel (Bethel, CT) to battle the Wildcats in a Southwest match on Saturday, May 24. The Wildcats come into the match with a record of 16-2. Bethel won 4-1 in their recent non-league match against Shepaug Valley (Washington, CT)

The Chiefs now have a 13-7 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Northwestern Regional for a Berkshire match on Tuesday, May 27. Nonnewaug will battle a Highlanders squad coming off a 6-2 non-league loss to Cheshire (Cheshire, CT). The Highlanders record now stands at 7-7.
