The Coventry Oakers lacrosse squad scored 9 points and limited the host Cranston East Thunderbolts to 6 in the Oakers non-league triumph on Tuesday.
The Oakers now own a 10-2 record. They take the field next when they travel to Classical for a Division 4 challenge on Wednesday, May 21. Coventry will clash with a Purple squad coming off a 9-3 league loss to Rogers (Newport, RI). The Purple record now stands at 8-5.
With the loss, Cranston East falls to 6-9 on the year. The Thunderbolts host St. Mary Academy-Bay View (East Providence, RI) to clash with the Bengals in a Division 3 challenge on Thursday, May 22. The Bengals go into the challenge with a record of 0-15. St. Mary Academy-Bay View lost 15-7 in their recent league challenge against East Providence (East Providence, RI)
