Massabesic Mustangs (Waterboro, ME) supporters left the game thrilled Tuesday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Deering Rams (Portland, ME), 17-10 in a league game.

With the triumph, Massabesic improves its record to 5-5 on the year. The Mustangs travel to Thornton Academy (Saco, ME) to play the Trojans in a Class A South game on Friday, May 23. The Trojans enter the game with a record of 4-6. Thornton Academy won 18-7 in their recent league game against Deering (Portland, ME)

The Rams now hold a 1-7 record. They play next when they travel to Thornton Academy for a Class A South game on Wednesday, May 21. Deering will play a Trojans squad coming off a 19-7 league win over Marshwood (South Berwick, ME). The Trojans record now stands at 3-6.
