The South Vermillion Wildcats softball team scored 9 runs and limited the host Beech Grove Hornets to 0 in the Wildcats non-league triumph on Saturday.

With the triumph, South Vermillion moves its record to 21-3 on the year. The Wildcats travel to North Putnam (Roachdale, IN) to clash with the Cougars in a non-league game on Tuesday, May 24. The Cougars come into the game with a record of 18-7. North Putnam won 11-1 in their recent non-league game against Parke Heritage (Rockville, IN)

In their next game, the Hornets clash with the Indianapolis Bishop Chatard Trojans (Indianapolis, IN) in a non-league game, on Monday, May 23.
