The South Lyon East Cougars softball team scored 13 runs and limited the visiting Detroit Country Day Yellowjackets to 1 in the Cougars non-league triumph on Sunday.

With the triumph, South Lyon East moves its record to 5-3 on the year. The Cougars host Walled Lake Central (Walled Lake, MI) to clash with the Vikings in a Lakes Valley game on Monday, May 22. The Vikings come into the game with a record of 5-17.

In their next game, the Yellowjackets clash with the Bloomfield Hills Black Hawks (Bloomfield Hills, MI) in a non-league game, on Tuesday, May 23. Detroit Country Day will attempt to move on its 13-12 season record.
