The Brewer Witches softball team scored 3 runs and limited the visiting Mount Desert Island Trojans to 2 in the Witches non-league triumph on Tuesday.

With the triumph, Brewer moves its record to 9-5 on the year. The Witches host Hampden (Hampden, ME) to encounter the Broncos in a Class A North test on Friday, May 24. The Broncos enter the test with a record of 8-2. Hampden won 10-8 in their recent non-league test against Old Town (Old Town, ME)

The Trojans (6-7) will now prepare for their test against Old Town (Old Town, ME). The Coyotes enter the Class B North test with a 9-4 record. In their last test, Old Town was tipped by Hampden (Hampden, ME), 10-8, in a non-league test.
