The Pioneer Valley Regional Panthers baseball team scored 24 runs and held the visiting Gateway Regional Gators to 1 in the Panthers non-league win on Wednesday.
The Panthers now own a 19-0 record. They take the field next when they host St. Mary for a non-league test on Saturday, May 24. Pioneer Valley Regional will play a Saints team coming off a 7-1 non-league win over Mount Everett Regional (Sheffield, MA). The Saints record now stands at 7-5.
With the defeat, Gateway Regional drops to 3-5 on the year. The Gators travel to Chicopee (Chicopee, MA) to play the Pacers in a non-league test on Thursday, May 22. The Pacers go into the test with a record of 1-16.
