The crowd at Wednesday's non-league bout between the Rantoul Eagles (Rantoul, IL) and the visiting Danville Vikings (Danville, IL), observed Rantoul's softball team get by Danville by a tally of 3-0.

The Eagles (10-14) will now prepare for their bout against Lincoln (Lincoln, IL). The Railsplitters go into the non-league bout with a 14-17 record. In their last bout, Lincoln was routed by Springfield (Springfield, IL), 3-2, in a non-league bout.

In their next game, the Vikings clash with the Champaign Central Maroons (Champaign, IL) in a Big Twelve bout, on Friday, May 23. Danville will attempt to advance on its 11-13 season record. The Maroons go into the bout with a 22-3 record after their 8-7 non-league loss to Rochester (Rochester, IL).
