Illinois High School Softball - Mt. Vernon bounces O'Fallon

The Mt. Vernon Rams softball team scored 9 runs and held the host O'Fallon Panthers to 0 in the Rams non-league win on Wednesday.

The Rams now possess a 16-10 record. They put it on the line next when they host Freeburg for a non-league battle on Wednesday, May 28. Mt. Vernon will confront a Midgets team coming off a 7-0 non-league loss to Belleville East (Belleville, IL). The Midgets record now stands at 16-12.

With the loss, O'Fallon moves to 12-17 on the season. The Panthers travel to Edwardsville (Edwardsville, IL) to confront the Tigers in a Southwestern battle on Friday, May 23. The Tigers come into the battle with a record of 22-8. Edwardsville won 10-0 in their recent league battle against Collinsville (Collinsville, IL)
