The Salem Lions softball squad scored 7 runs and limited the visiting New Albany Bulldogs to 5 in the Lions non-league triumph on Wednesday.
With the triumph, Salem upgrades its record to 8-8 on the year. The Lions travel to Springs Valley (French Lick, IN) to play the Blackhawks in a non-league game on Thursday, May 22. The Blackhawks enter the game with a record of 8-11. Springs Valley lost 17-0 in their recent non-league game against Corydon Central (Corydon, IN)
The Bulldogs now own a 9-14 record. They play next when they host Corydon Central for a non-league game on Thursday, May 22. New Albany will play a Panthers squad coming off a 6-2 league win over Eastern (Pekin, IN). The Panthers record now stands at 16-5.
