In Monday's non-league game, the host Sacred Heart Academy Irish baseball team scored a tight 10-3 victory over the Chippewa Hills Warriors.
The Irish (9-4) will now prepare for their game against Alpena (Alpena, MI). The Wildcats go into the non-league game with a 6-2 record. In their last game, Alpena was overwhelmed by Traverse City West (Traverse City, MI), 2-0, in a league game.
The Warriors (5-6) will now prepare for their game against Lakeview (Lakeview, MI). The Wildcats go into the Central State game with a 7-10 record. In their last game, Lakeview was overwhelmed by Carson City-Crystal (Carson City, MI), 10-7, in a non-league game.
