Spectators at Monday's non-league battle between the Westfield Blue Devils (Westfield, NJ) and the visiting Franklin Warriors (Somerset, NJ), saw Westfield's baseball squad knock off Franklin by a count of 5-3.
Coming up next, the Blue Devils play the Cranford Cougars (Cranford, NJ) in a Union County - Watchung battle, on Tuesday, May 23. Westfield will attempt to move on its 11-7 season record. The Cougars enter the battle with a 25-1 record after their 7-0 non-league win over Rahway (Rahway, NJ).
