With the win, Grant Union upgrades its record to 10-1 on the season. The Prospectors travel to Blanchet Catholic (Salem, OR) to battle the Cavaliers in a non-league test on Wednesday, May 24. The Cavaliers come into the test with a record of 24-2. Blanchet Catholic won 8-5 in their recent non-league test against Junction City (Junction City, OR)

With the defeat, Vernonia falls to 6-9 on the season.
