The Foxcroft Academy Ponies baseball team scored 4 runs and limited the host Deer Isle-Stonington Mariners to 3 in the Ponies non-league victory on Wednesday.
The Ponies (14-1) will now prepare for their match against Mattanawcook (Lincoln, ME). The Lynx go into the Class C North match with a 10-4 record. In their last match, Mattanawcook tipped Houlton (Houlton, ME), 15-3, in a league challenge.
With the defeat, Deer Isle-Stonington falls to 5-5 on the season. The Mariners host Narraguagus (Harrington, ME) to encounter the Knights in a non-league challenge on Tuesday, May 28. The Knights come into the challenge with a record of 10-3. Narraguagus won 11-10 in their recent non-league challenge against Jonesport-Beals (Jonesport, ME)
