The crowd at Thursday's non-league battle between the Moline Maroons (Moline, IL) and the visiting Assumption Knights (Davenport, IA), saw Moline's baseball team gain a win over Assumption by a tally of 3-1.

The Maroons (18-13) will now prepare for their battle against Lake Zurich (Lake Zurich, IL). The Bears enter the non-league battle with a 22-9 record. In their last battle, Lake Zurich held off Stevenson (Lincolnshire, IL), 3-0, in a league battle.

Next, the Knights face the Benet Academy Redwings (Lisle, IL) in a non-league battle, on Saturday, May 24. Assumption will attempt to upgrade on its 0-1 season record. The Redwings enter the battle with a 19-12 record after their 2-0 non-league loss to Wheaton-Warrenville South (Wheaton, IL).
