The Grosse Pointe South Blue Devils triumphed over the host Chippewa Valley Big Reds softball squad by a count of 10-3 in Thursday's league challenge.

Next, the Blue Devils play the Lake Shore Shorians (St. Clair Shores, MI) in a non-league challenge, on Tuesday, May 27. Grosse Pointe South will attempt to upgrade on its 24-7 season record. The Shorians enter the challenge with a 10-8 record after their 5-1 league loss to Utica (Utica, MI).

The Big Reds (10-15) will now prepare for their challenge against Lutheran North (Macomb, MI). The Mustangs enter the non-league challenge with a 18-5 record.
