Glenbrook North Spartans (Northbrook, IL) backers left the game pleased Thursday as they saw their softball squad nudge the visiting Jacobs Golden Eagles (Algonquin, IL), 4-3 in a non-league game.
With the triumph, Glenbrook North upgrades its record to 18-12 on the year. The Spartans travel to Schaumburg (Schaumburg, IL) to play the Saxons in a non-league game on Friday, May 23. The Saxons enter the game with a record of 10-15. Schaumburg won 10-2 in their recent league game against Palatine (Palatine, IL)
The Golden Eagles now own a 17-17 record. They play next when they host Sycamore for a non-league game on Friday, May 23. Jacobs will play a Spartans squad coming off a 2-1 non-league win over Oswego (Oswego, IL). The Spartans record now stands at 25-5.
