New York High School Softball - Akron bounces Southwestern

May 23, 2023: Akron, NY 14001

Akron Tigers (Akron, NY) backers exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Southwestern Trojans (Jamestown, NY), 4-0 in a non-league challenge.

The Tigers now own a 15-4 record. They take the field next when they travel to Fredonia for a non-league challenge on Thursday, May 25. Akron will face a Hillbillies squad coming off a 3-0 non-league win over Falconer (Falconer, NY). The Hillbillies record now stands at 14-4.

With the loss, Southwestern falls to 8-9 on the campaign.
