The Marple Newtown Fightin' Tigers triumphed over the visiting Upper Moreland Bears softball squad by a count of 17-6 in Friday's non-league challenge.
Next, the Fightin' Tigers meet the East Vikings (West Chester, PA) in a non-league challenge, on Thursday, May 29. Marple Newtown will attempt to upgrade on its 20-2 season record. The Vikings enter the challenge with a 16-7 record after their 10-7 non-league win over Springfield (Springfield, PA).
The Bears (7-4) will now prepare for their challenge against North Pocono (Covington Township, PA). The Trojans enter the non-league challenge with a 19-4 record. In their last challenge, North Pocono overcame Abington Heights (Clarks Summit, PA), 5-4, in a non-league challenge.
