Morris Redskins (Morris, IL) fans exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Kankakee Kays (Kankakee, IL), 2-1 in a non-league challenge.

The Redskins now sport a 22-14 record. They take the field next when they travel to Ottawa for a non-league challenge on Saturday, May 28. Morris will face a Pirates squad coming off a 7-0 non-league win over Plano (Plano, IL). The Pirates record now stands at 21-8.

With the loss, Kankakee moves to 6-7 on the season.
