Mitchell Bluejackets (Mitchell, IN) fans exited the stadium thrilled Wednesday as they observed their baseball squad hold off the host South Knox Spartans (Vincennes, IN), 3-2 in a non-league test.
With the win, Mitchell upgrades its record to 23-6 on the season. The Bluejackets travel to Linton-Stockton (Linton, IN) to battle the Miners in a non-league test on Monday, May 29. The Miners come into the test with a record of 14-12. Linton-Stockton won 1-0 in their recent non-league test against North Knox (Bicknell, IN)
With the defeat, South Knox falls to 19-7 on the season.
