Encinal Jets (Alameda, CA) backers exited the stadium thrilled Wednesday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Eureka Loggers (Eureka, CA), 4-1 in a non-league challenge.

The Jets now own a 15-10 record. They take the field next when they travel to Pinole Valley for a non-league challenge on Saturday, May 27. Encinal will battle a Spartans squad coming off a 2-0 non-league win over Albany (Albany, CA). The Spartans record now stands at 27-1.

With the loss, Eureka falls to 16-8 on the campaign.
