Holy Cross Crusaders (Waterbury, CT) backers exited the stadium thrilled Friday as they saw their softball squad run past the visiting Nonnewaug Chiefs (Woodbury, CT), 11-0 in a non-league challenge.

The Crusaders now own a 15-7 record. They take the field next when they host St. Bernard for a non-league challenge on Tuesday, May 28. Holy Cross will battle a Saints squad coming off a 7-2 non-league win over Montville (Oakdale, CT). The Saints record now stands at 12-10.

With the loss, Nonnewaug falls to 15-6 on the campaign. The Chiefs host Plainville (Plainville, CT) to battle the Blue Devils in a non-league challenge on Tuesday, May 28. The Blue Devils enter the challenge with a record of 11-10. Plainville lost 8-4 in their recent non-league challenge against Enfield (Enfield, CT)
