South Dakota High School Softball - McCook Central/Montrose succumbs to Beresford

In Saturday's non-league test, the Beresford Watchdogs (Beresford, SD) softball squad overwhelmed the visiting McCook Central/Montrose Fighting Cougars (Salem, SD), by a tally of 11-0.
Next, the Watchdogs clash with the Sioux Valley Cossacks (Volga, SD) in a Class A test, on Saturday, May 24. Beresford will attempt to advance on its 14-11 season record. The Cossacks go into the test with a 13-6 record after their 21-4 non-league win over Colman-Egan (Colman, SD).
The Fighting Cougars (14-9) will now prepare for their test against Florence/Henry (Florence, SD). The Falcons go into the Class B test with a 13-2 record. In their last test, Florence/Henry prevailed over Avon (Avon, SD), 5-4, in a league test.
