Masconomet Regional Chieftains (Boxford, MA) supporters left the game thrilled Saturday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Bishop Fenwick Crusaders (Peabody, MA), 12-7 in a non-league game.
With the triumph, Masconomet Regional improves its record to 11-8 on the year. The Chieftains travel to Danvers (Danvers, MA) to face the Falcons in a Northeast- Dunn game on Saturday, May 24. The Falcons enter the game with a record of 10-5.
The Crusaders now hold a 4-10 record. They play next when they travel to Marblehead for a non-league game on Sunday, May 25. Bishop Fenwick will face a Magicians squad coming off a 7-2 non-league win over Wakefield Memorial (Wakefield, MA). The Magicians record now stands at 13-1.
