Cumberland Valley Eagles (Mechanicsburg, PA) supporters left the game thrilled Saturday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Hempfield Black Knights (Landisville, PA), 7-0 in a non-league game.

With the triumph, Cumberland Valley improves its record to 17-3 on the year.

The Black Knights now hold a 13-9 record. They play next when they travel to Seneca Valley for a non-league game on Wednesday, May 28. Hempfield will face a Raiders squad coming off a 6-1 league win over Norwin (North Huntingdon, PA). The Raiders record now stands at 20-3.
