Illinois High School Softball - LaSalle-Peru bounces Sterling

May 24, 2025: LaSalle, IL 61301

The LaSalle-Peru Cavaliers softball team scored 11 runs and held the visiting Sterling Golden Warriors to 4 in the Cavaliers non-league win on Saturday.

The Cavaliers now possess a 29-4 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Streator for a non-league battle on Tuesday, May 27. LaSalle-Peru will confront a Bulldogs team coming off a 17-2 non-league loss to East Peoria (East Peoria, IL). The Bulldogs record now stands at 8-23.

With the loss, Sterling moves to 18-9 on the season. The Golden warriors travel to Metamora (Metamora, IL) to confront the Redbirds in a non-league battle on Saturday, May 24. The Redbirds come into the battle with a record of 24-7. Metamora lost 4-3 in their recent league battle against Dunlap (Dunlap, IL)
