The Mt. Vernon Marauders softball team scored 3 runs and held the visiting West Washington Senators to 2 in the Marauders non-league win on Saturday.

The Marauders now possess a 7-14 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Greenfield-Central for a non-league battle on Tuesday, May 27. Mt. Vernon will confront a Cougars team coming off a 6-2 non-league win over East Central (St. Leon, IN). The Cougars record now stands at 15-7.

With the loss, West Washington moves to 19-5 on the season. The Senators travel to New Washington (New Washington, IN) to confront the Mustangs in a non-league battle on Tuesday, May 27. The Mustangs come into the battle with a record of 2-13. New Washington lost 17-2 in their recent non-league battle against Christian Academy (New Albany, IN)
