Providence Catholic Celtics (New Lenox, IL) fans exited the stadium thrilled Wednesday as they observed their baseball squad overcome the visiting Thornton Fractional South TBA (Lansing, IL), 2-0 in a non-league test.

With the win, Providence Catholic upgrades its record to 20-15 on the season. The Celtics host Lincoln-Way East (Frankfort, IL) to battle the Griffins in a non-league test on Saturday, May 28. The Griffins come into the test with a record of 22-7. Lincoln-Way East won 10-0 in their recent non-league test against Joliet Central (Joliet, IL)

With the defeat, Thornton Fractional South falls to 18-11 on the season.
