The crowd at Thursday's non-league game between the Springfield Cougars (Springfield, PA) and the visiting Wissahickon Trojans (Ambler, PA), saw Springfield's lacrosse team top Wissahickon by a final score of 14-1.

The Cougars (18-2) will now prepare for their game against Radnor (Radnor, PA). The Raptors enter the Central game with a 2-2 record.

The Trojans (15-3) will now prepare for their game against Downingtown East (Exton, PA). The Cougars enter the non-league game with a 11-2 record.

Game Summary

Springfield continued their unbelievable play with a dominate win over 6 seed Wissahickon in the District 1 3A Semifinals. The Cougars got off to a hot start with 4 first quarter goals in the first minutes of the game before Wissahickon even had a chance to possess the ball. Phenomenal play from (Jr) Lucas Aaron going 13/17 from the face-off circle. (So) Jackson Kennedy had an amazing performance in net with 8 saves of Wissahickons 9 shots on goals. Outstanding play from Springfield Defensemen lead by (Sr) Nick Labutis, (So) Billy Henderson, and (So) Brian Delaney.
