The Akron-Westfield Westerners baseball team scored 11 runs and limited the visiting Newell-Fonda Mustangs to 0 in the Westerners non-league victory on Saturday.
The Westerners (6-0) will now prepare for their match against Odebolt Arthur Battle Creek Ida Grove (Ida Grove, IA). The Falcons go into the non-league match with a 3-1 record. In their last match, Odebolt Arthur Battle Creek Ida Grove was overwhelmed by Woodbury Central (Moville, IA), 8-1, in a league match.
The Mustangs (2-3) will now prepare for their match against Northwest Webster (Manson, IA). The Cougars go into the non-league match with a 0-4 record.
